Bio
Sabastian Magacha is gospel musician from Zimbabwe who was born on 10 May 1984 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He ventured into music in 2006. Before taking music as his full-time career, he played soccer at CAPS United Juniors. He rose to fame with songs such ‘Tomudana’, ‘Bhosvo’ and ‘Back to Sender’. He has collaborated with Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton, Kirk Franklin and Oliver Mtukudzi. His music is a fusion of African rhythm and pop. Fans call his music Saba Music.
He has so far recorded four albums namely recorded three albums so far, namely ‘Tinaye Faithful God’, ‘Tomudana’, ‘Baba Tinokutendai’ and ‘Mapostori’. His albums are produced renowned producer Macdonald Chidavaenzi who is the founder and owner of Eternity Productions and Joseph Madziyire President and CEO of Extol Media group.
In 2007, he won the Best Gospel artist and Best Newcomer categories at the National Arts Merits Awards. In 2010 and 2011, he was awarded the Best Gospel category at the Victor awards. In 2014, he was again awarded the Best Gospel artist category at the ZIMA awards. He has featured and shared the stage with various musicians such as Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton, Joyous celebration, Keke from South Africa, Rebbecca Malope, Deborah Frazer, Oliver Mtukudzi, Uche and many others. He has also toured countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique and the UK.
