ALZO

Alzo (born Stéphane Alzo) is a singer songwriter from Madagascar.

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Madagascar, this poetic artist transports listeners to a rich universe combining indie folk-pop accompanied by the heritage of the Indian Ocean. Alzo first gained recognition after posting videos on YouTube as a teenager and after touring with the Swiss singer Bastian Baker.

He confirmed his passion for music after his American experience in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he studied music performance at Queens University under a fellowship programme. He had the opportunity to be coached by opera singer Christina Pier and the award winning "Best Voice of the Indian Ocean" Audrey Dardenne.

In 2019, Alzo was annouced as the "Best New Malagasy Revelation" with his single "Miandry aho (Waiting You home). He associated with 4 experimented musicians for his live performances (Rudy Caillaso, Pat Rab and David Rakotonizao). They are now producing an album between the indian Ocean and Canada.
