Action Music Academy

The Action Music Academy is based in Dar es Salaam at Mbezi Beach along Bagamoyo Road and offers an ideal condition for young people to develop skills as a professional musicians. The innovative curriculum has been developed together with the Global Music Academy in Berlin through the East African Global Music Campus with the support of the Goethe-Institut and Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.
The Academy was established in 2019 and is one of Tanzania's most prominent ambassadors of music. AMA in partnership with Goethe-Institut Tanzania and Global Music academy in Berlin German has established partnerships with many artistic and academic institutions, media partners, festivals, diplomatic missions, social and commercial enterprises, etc. Among the most important there are Stiftung Nord Sud bucken (Germany), BMZ, the French embassy, University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Music Crossroads Academies Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi, Bayimba academy (Uganda), Jazz Amba School of Music (Ethiopia), Oruaap Cultural center (South Sudan), Ballanta Academy of Music (Sierra Leone).
The Importance of Action Music Academy goes beyond the preservation of the musical heritage. The Academy uses music as a tool for social change and youth empowerment. AMA is active in creating job opportunities for its students. For many of them, music became a profession. Thanks to the education they received at AMA they now enjoy local and international music careers.
AMA students and graduates are regularly performing in Tanzania, Africa, and other continents.
