Bio
Ajofe StreetMic (birth name Adukwu Samuel Atadoga) is a Nigerian Afro-alternative singer and record producer based in the United States. Born on the 7th day of October 1989, he started writing songs at 14 and making beats with church piano at 15. He recorded a studio demo titled “Oboi Wetin” at 16 when he was a junior in high school and headlined over a dozen college concerts before graduating with a cum laude in Theatre Arts & communication in the fall of 2011. His demos aired several times on local radio stations in Kogi State, Nigeria between 2010 to 2015.
Ajofe moved to the USA in 2014 to study at the University of Northern Iowa. While rounding up class work for his master’s program in Public Relations, he started collecting samples and creating instrumentals for his first mixtape project - "Outta Skool: The Story Book" which was released on the 25th day of July 2016. With a unique, dark, and catchy style of delivery, the project tells tales of a young black man sailing through the tough waves of life.
On the 25th day of July 2017, Ajofe StreetMic released his second project “XVI” which according to Ajofe StreetMic is the project that ushered his full transition from Hip-Hop and Rap to Afro Fusion. On the 25th of January 2019 Ajofe StreetMic released his best collection of recordings yet titled "Lucid: Negro's Creed." The project charted at Number 17 on the iTunes World genre within the first week of release.
He’s currently back in the studio completing works on more musical projects while living a daily family man’s life in the capital city of Iowa State – Des Moines.
