Celeste Ojatula
Bio
Celeste Ojatula is a one-of-a-kind independent artiste, songwriter and producer. Her music sits nicely into multiple genres, influenced by her perception to life and living. She believes music should be able to create mental imageries and transport you to uncharted destinations.
Born and raised in Lagos Nigeria, Celeste grew up listening to a diverse taste in music genres. From High-life sounds to Jazz, Rock, Soul. . . she was also exposed to Yorùbá folktales (told in songs and stories) under the moonlight. And this subsequently, influenced her debut EP - Alo (Tales).
Celeste Ojatula has been an ambassador for Mentally Aware Nigeria, (MANI), an NGO working towards the awareness of mental health in Nigeria and Accountability Lab (an NGO advocating for good governance in Nigeria). She has also successfully headlined major events like AFRIMMA, Ake Book and Arts Festival, Z! Fest.
Her debut EP called "Alo (Tales)" was released in November 2024 and has received wild acclaim amongst industry peers and listeners.
