Fivara
Bio
Jordan Wilson Zabron, better known by his stage name Fivara, is a Tanzanian Hip Hop artist, entrepreneur, activist, and philanthropist based in Mwanza. His music reflects themes of societal struggles, culture, resilience, mental health, and hope, while showcasing the vibrancy of Swahili culture.
In 2020, Fivara founded Hatua, a clothing brand, social movement, and book club. He later launched Closer to God in 2022, a clothing brand, and the Zoo Movement, a Hip Hop initiative in Mwanza. He also established Pie Muzik, an independent record label supporting artists and creators.
Beyond music, Fivara is deeply involved in social initiatives. Through Hatua, in collaboration with Soma Kwa Furaha Initiative, Bring Hope for Children Tanzania, and other partners, he works to support street children by offering mentorship, basic needs like clothes, health checkups, wound care, and educational activities. Fivara uses his artistry to mentor and educate these children, emphasizing self-respect, personal hygiene, and avoiding harmful behaviors like drug abuse. He also encourages them to pursue education, creativity, and entrepreneurship as tools for empowerment.
As a performer, Fivara has graced several prominent Tanzanian Hip Hop platforms, including Sua Back 2 Mwanza, Kilingeni Msasani Club, and the Hip Hop Asili Festival. In 2024, he launched his monthly concert series, Fiv & Friends, to connect artists with audiences.
In 2023, Fivara released his album Tegemeo, exploring themes of parenting, purpose, growth, and mental health. Through his music, events, and social projects, he aims to inspire and uplift his community, particularly the youth and homeless children, by fostering opportunities, storytelling, and positive change.
Fivara’s work embodies his vision of making his society a better, more hopeful place.
