JaHel MineliH
Bio
Sound artist, designer, beatmaker and dreamer , JaHel MineliH was born in the mid 80’ in Yaoundé.
At the age of 8, he was initiated into the “Ndan”, ancient communication system of his clan. In his early teens, he got accustomed to reciting his school lessons rhythmically, which unconsciously lead him to become a rap artist.
JaHel’s quest for harmony continues to pave the way to new musical spheres.
Whether guided by rhythm inherent in his immediate surrounding or a wide range of musical influences, from Hugh Masekela, Richard Bona to Bobby Mc Ferrin through modern poets like Common Sense, his sound is rooted in ethnic rhythms. He blends it with contemporary urban trends, using the former as a base to open up into the globe.
