Bio
Kudakwashe Mukuzunga is a Lesotho-based Afrobeats producer, composer and sound designer from Zimbabwe.
Mukuzunga is a skilled mbira (thumb piano), marimba (xylophone), ngoma (African drum), piano and drums player. He attended a Children's Performance Arts Workshop (Chipawo) from 1998 to 2003. Mukuzunga was also part of the trio The Future, which won the best spoken word at the British Council Power in the voice program, where he also performed at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA).
He went to Cyprus to pursue a degree in business management. He did not complete the degree due to financial constrains and joined GAU Radio.
On his return to Zimbabwe, he joined silver rock media under the mentorship of Tashinga, a professional sound engineer. There he got the opportunity to learn and advance his music production skills. At Silver Rock Media he was involved in the production of individual artists, choirs, voice overs, dramas, TV show composition and radio jingles.
He continues to produce dramas, commercial jingles and artists including himself in Lesotho at uNejah Studios in Lesotho. Kudakwashe produced his current EP 'Summerz Eve' which earned him a nomination in 2017.
