Laura Etemah

About

Laura Etemah is an artist, music professional, vocal coach and author from Nigeria.

She is also the director of Lee Vocal Studios and Lee Ellie Music School. Etemah uses the Nigerian, British and US curriculum to disseminate her music lectures.

In 2006, she won the the Star Quest Music Reality TV Show with her band Daccord. Etemah has toured with Tu Baba, Tony Tetuilla, P-Square, The Natives and a host of other Nigerian music stars to perform at the MOBO awards in the UK. She has performed alongside Akon and LL Cool J at the Star Mega Jam in Nigeria in 2006.

In 2011, Etemah was awarded by the ex-Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, for her projects that benefited schools around the Surulere Community in Lagos. That same year she reportedly became the first African woman to obtain a Master of Arts in Music Production from Leeds Beckett University in the UK. She also graduated from Delta State University with a degree in Geology and a number of diplomas in music.

Etemah is also known for her book 'Sing Like a Superstar' which has reportedly helped some artists to discover the true potential of their voices. The book has a downloadable voice training CD.
