Maureen Kunga
Bio
Maureen Kunga is a singer, songwriter and advocate of the High Court of Kenya, based in Nairobi. She is part of Elani – a music group that rose to fame in 2014.
With Elani, Kunga has won a number pan-African awards at ceremonies such as the Channel O Music Video Awards, the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) and the Kenya Kona Awards, among others.
As an activist, Kunga mentors musicians about the legal aspects of the creative industry, their rights and how to safeguard them. She is also an emcee and has hosted various launches and panel discussions across Kenya.
