Michael Sterling
Bio
Michael Sterling is a singer from Miami, US. He is a former singer and guitarist of the Grammy Award winning reggae band Inner Circle.
Sterling launched his music career as a bassist for the Latino artist Ray Fernandez. He went on to start Silver Platinums with two childhood friends. The group quickly scored a hit on the R&B charts with their hit 'Dance'. Sterling left the group to become the lead guitarist of Inner Circle. Inner Circle is most known for their hit 'Bad Boys', the theme song for the Bad Boys film franchise starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. It is also used as the theme song for hit television show COPS.
After touring the world with Inner Circle, Sterling returned to Miami. While developing his career as a solo artist, he also spent time as an audio engineer and producer at Luke Records, where he produced for local artists such as 2 Live Crew, MC Shy D, famed rapper JT Money and others.
Sterling was also a musical director for Blu Cantrell. While assisting in the development of other artists careers, Sterling continued to strengthen as a songwriter and soon found many of his original compositions being covered by some of the best artists of the day such as DJ Khaled's 'Do You Mind', 'ALWAYS' by Trina as well as the award winning 'Lovers and Friends' by Lil’ Jon and the East Side Boys, Usher and Ludacris and many others.
