Miliswa Vilane
Bio
Miliswa Vilane is a passionate and creative music journalist, publicist, and marketing professional driven by my deep love for music—a love imparted to me by my mother, a broadcaster at our local radio station. Growing up in Eswatini, Vilane witnessed immense musical talent that deserves a global audience and the chance to be a thriving business that contributes to our local economy. However, the lack of industry expertise and infrastructure has inspired me to become a pioneer in this field, a motivation that led me to study marketing at university.
He has a year of experience as a music journalist for publications such as WORD!S, South African Hip Hop Reloaded, and Hip Hop Africa. My experience extends to radio, where I contributed to a show focusing on music marketing and artist branding. Additionally, Vilane has two years of experience as the Head of PR and Marketing Communications for artists Trent Nicks and Oriiginelle. He stays engaged with the latest developments in the music business through podcasts like *Trapital* by Dan Runcie and *The Pitchfork Review*.
With a keen eye for emerging talent and a dedication to bridging the gap between creativity and business, Vilane has committed to amplifying Eswatini's musical voices on the world stage.
