Mlu The African Drum

Mlu The African Drum (born Pogiso Diokana on 7 June 1998) is an artist from South Africa.
His passion for music began at a tender. Mlu The African Drum draws inspiration from his late father Johnny Hlaba who was a music teacher and an actor.
He was a drummer/percussionist at Soweto Marimba Youth League (SMYLE), which became an outreach programme for children in Soweto.
His first gig was in Braamfischerville at the Life Style Butchery launch on 18 October 2017. He has shared the stage with Zodwa wa Bantu, Gigi Lamayne, Lebza the villain, MFR Souls, DJ Famer, DJ stokkie, Bantu Element, DJ Njelic, Jalicot and Tallarsetee.
