Naimah

Representing Zambia and a proud African heritage, Naimah’s Afrocentric twist on urban genres captivates and resonates with listeners from around the world and has caught the attention of international platforms such as BBC Africa who featured Naimah on their “This is Africa: Spotlight Series” when she debuted her EP titled “Goal Digger” in May 2022. She was also nominated for Best new artist at the Zikomo Awards that year.

Naimah is an asset to the industry as an artist committed to making an impact. With an academic and professional background in Psychology, Naimah is combining her passion for music and mental health advocacy. She conceptualized two initiatives, “The Sound Mind” a mental health awareness program for
creatives, which she launched at the Africa Rising music Conference in May 2023; and “The Legacy Exhibition: Tribute Series”, an
initiative preserving the history and impact of legendary African and international musicians, respectively. The first exhibition installment paid tribute to the iconic Miriam Makeba and was in collaboration with the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz’s women’s day celebration in August 2023.

Naimah is a force of recognition in the creative industry. She recently received two song placements on an album after taking part in the Searching for paradise Songwriting camp in 2023. She also received two placements on another album, a collaboration project
with the Beyond Foundation (Switzerland) for the Beyond Music Vol. 4, album for social
change in 2024.

Her consistency to get involved in social initiatives and collaborate with like minded artists has afforded Naimah opportunities to thrive in environments that amplify the voices of underrepresented creatives while building a community where artists and their art is appreciated and celebrated .
