Purpose

Purpose (born Albert Mhango) is a christian/gospel artist from the north side of Malawi, currently residing Lusaka city of Zambia.

His smooth delivery, and groovy melodies give his music an upbeat vibe and conscious feel. At the age of 15, Purpose had a deep love and passion for music. Growing up he was heavily inspired by Country, Reggae/Dancehall, Hip-Hop and R&B. He trail blazed a music career as dancehall artist, going by the name Purple C in 2015, where he recorded an album with Abstract Records and earned himself multiple awards in 2017 and 2018.

He later on transitioned from a secular artist into a Christian singer and changed his stage name to Purpose in late 2020 after receiving his call to serve. Purpose has delivered more than expected ever since he took a new path in his music career.
