The Rascals
Bio
The Rascals is a South African ensemble that was formed in July 2019.
It comprises young vibrant music students between the ages of 21 and 28 from the Vusi Mahlasela Music development foundation and MC Art academy. The ensemble was conceptualised by combining the different musical backgrounds and academia of the individuals.
African Music, Neo Soul, contemporary jazz, commercial jazz, and sungura sounds are some of the genres that The Rascals specialize in. Since its inception, The Rascals performed in different stages around Pretoria such as Times Square, Black Labone, 442 Sports Bar, Opium Restaurant, Home Lounge, Garankuwa Shisanyama, and News Café, cosms cafe,goldrush morula sun,kopwrap,lavishlyfstyle, private functions.
