Selmor Mtukudzi
Bio
Selmor Mtukudzi is a top class musician from Zimbabwe. Her musical journey started at the age of 10 when her father, the late Zimbabwean superstar Oliver Mtukudzi took her for her first studio recording for the soundtrack for the movie, I Am The Future. She has won numerous awards in her home country and abroad in the United States of America and nominations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Selmor has 8 albums to date. She has collaborated with musicians from all over Africa and the rest of the world including Yemi Alade, Judith Sephuma, Diamond Platinums and Bono. She has also worked with renowned producers like Steve Dyer, Cohbams and Macdee.
Selmor has performed in countries like the UK, Finland, Spain, America, Canada, Scotland, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Malawi, Botswana and Australia.
She is the Goodwill ambassador for UNICEF Zimbabwe using her for voice to speak against child marriages that are still happening in Zimbabwe. She was also instrumental in the one.org campaign (#PovertyIsSexiest) which saw he travel the world speaking to world leaders about how poverty affects women more than men.
