Violet Maila

An art activist, is on a passionate quest to help build the arts culture landscape in South Africa and the rest of the African continent especially.
She is qualified and and experienced Art Director, with over 10 years' experience in the Marketing and advertising industry.
Post advertising, Violet worked on music productions in Malawi and Angola, and lived in
Zanzibar working at Sauti za Busara, one of the biggest music festivals in the East African region. She worked for the Concerts SA, aLive music support project, as a Project Manager for over 5 years, before joining the Music In Africa team in 2019.
