XtraNote

Born in Durban in a Township called Inanda.

He grew up looking up to his Late Brother who doing Music as he was growing up. Khethukuthula Somana birth name (XtraNote) at age 8 years he was exposed to a lot of kind of Music as his Late brother was a Rapper / MC / Producer / Event Organiser.

He use to listen to his Late brother`s Songs and he would go crazy loving his Music, which was Hip Hop. He was so amazed by adding Vocals on a song, that made him more interested in Music as whole. In Primary School he had friends that loved Music so much that when it Break time and teachers are not around they would meet in class to have Lunch and talk. So one of his friends in class while they were eating lunch he started by Banging the Writting Board like a Kick and he would use a ruler to create snare and the other would Humm the Bass line, at that time they listened alot to Underground House Music and Hip Hop. They would create a song from nowhere, just out of joy as they were kids at that time.

His Late brother then got him digging for more Music and the creators of that Music he loved.Then he started digging more about Music and it aspect.

In 2010 XtraNote began experimenting with Virtual DJ Software on a friends computer which culminated in him successfully co-hosting an event. His first big crowd came when his friend was booked for an event that where he got his chance and the crowd loved him so much the owner of the sitetting where they were at told him to not stop playing. He then decided it was to move on and continue improving his skills. in 2013 he got his first taste of CDJ`s after witnessing some friends from School playing at a party and they invited him to join them in the dj booth, they taught him beatmatching and how to play.

2016 that where everything changed for him. He then got more and more insight on Music. He had a very good friend and a Mentor to him named Siphesihle Ximba also known as Xtrovet DJ, He taught him how to make Music. He taught him alot about Music.

In 2017 he began to focus more on getting his name out there by doing shows and guest mixes. a breakthrough in his career came in August when he met and became friends with Ken Darby Jr (DJ Kenny Scan) who owns an online Radio Station in New York called Simply Radio. After impressing Ken with his style of mixing he was then invited him to become Resident DJ for a Sunday Show. His show is Aired every Sunday @ 7am EST, South Africans can listen to the show @ 2pm CAT.
