Black Buddha Sounds

Established in 2009 in Los Angeles, CA, Black Buddha Sounds (R) is run by an Ethiopian experimental composer and producer and focuses on creating ambient/cinematic loops, jingles, tracks and melodic sections for use by filmmakers/producers and the creative community at large.

A scholarship recipient of the MediaSound Hamburg 2018 Film and Sound Design Summer School, Black Buddha Sounds works with filmmakers, videographers, multidisciplinary artists and music groups, to create music and explore sound design in contemporary African cinema and pop music.

Black Buddha Sounds hopes to work with young African filmmakers, content creators and advertising companies to explore the value of sound design and composition.
