Kenya-Danish Friendship Association (KEDFA)

Bio

KEDFA is the association of Kenyans living in Denmark, Danes who left their heart in Kenya, friends and others with interest in Kenya.

The association was formed in 1982 by a group of Kenyans living in Denmark and Danes attached to Kenya. There are currently about 50 members and would welcome more.

KEDFA's activities in Denmark are first of all to function as a network and arranging social activities. They arrange an annual summer party and picnic and also celebrate festivities like Madaraka day, Jamhuri day and more. All members are encouraged to come up with ideas and projects.

Among their main principles and aims are to aggrandize and maintain a friendly relationship between the two countries and the people of Kenya and Denmark. They work to create an atmosphere of togetherness between Kenyans and Danes, to serve as a medium of communication, better and closer contacts.

The association is purely social and cultural with no affiliation to political, tribal or religious aims.
