Founded in 2013, Konteh Kunda School of Music is an institution The Gambia. Their goal is to preserve Mandinka music and culture. They encourage apprenticeship among griots, creating an audio library of the local songs and stories, encouraging foreign students to come and study, and by building a recording studio where local musicians can record their music for a local and international audience.
The institution also focuses on teaching and preserving traditional Mandinka music and culture. It was established by Jali Bakary Konteh, the co-founder, with Steve Pile, of the Konteh Kunda School of Music.
