Baraka Issabu

Baraka  Issabu is a Music Educator, composer, arranger, and producer, He is also a Cultural Organizer and one of the top pianists in Dar es salaam with passion and soul at his fingertips. 

He is a Director of Action Music Academy the only Music school In Dar es salaam established in 2019 in Partnership with Global Music Academy Berlin and Goethe-Institut Tanzania. you can visit Action Music Academy for more information about the Academy.

He studied Music with the Department of Creative Arts at the University of Dar es salaam from 2006-2009 and later on in 2015 he joined the East Africa Global Music Campus co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union and the Goethe-Institut which is Organised and facilitated by the Global Music Academy in Berlin Germany. The East African Global Music Campus enables talented young musicians to acquire the skills to perform, read, write, document, and transmit their music cultures. This empowers them to engage in local and interregional markets and contribute to developing a diverse and dynamic music sector.

He has collaborated with and performed with a wide variety of local and international artists at festivals like Jahazi Literary & Jazz festival, Sauti za Busara, Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), Poetry Addiction, and Fiesta with big-name artists like the Tanzanian Hip Hop icon Fid Q, Weusi, Ben Paul, Vanessa Mdee, Damian Sol and many others.
