Brian Nyahuma

From a strong Christian background born Brian Ngonidzashe Nyahuma an Afro Jazz Artist a fusion of Jazz and local Zimbabwean traditional music, grew up in the dust streets of Kambuzuma were did both primary education at Wadzanai Primary and Secondary at Kambuzuma high 1 from. Started playing Marimba at the age of 10 yrs. twice was crowned best Marimba player both primary and secondary. Playing Marimba didn’t go down well with both Parents as it was regarded (zvemarombe) in 1998 an offer was made by the group Hohodza to join them but the offer was turned down by my parents.

MUSICAL JOURNEY
Recorded first single Uri Muroyi in 2004 and went on to do first album So They Say in 2007 with tracks like Uri Muroyi, Ndisiye Ndiende, Zungairwa to mention but a few.
2009 gave birth to second album Ndingatii Zvangu with tracks like Ndichachengetwa Nani, Unosvika Rinhi, Chiuya to mention a few. The album also featured a number of seasoned great artist my producer Mono Mkundu, Blessing Mparutsa,Enock Piroro, Philip Svosve both the late Sam Mtukudzi and Adam Chisvo.

Went on to record another album in 2011 titled Hausi Wega which received a huge air play on local radio with tracks Mandipa, Hakuna Mumwe a duet with Rute Mbangwa and Uchandida Chete with a video which was among the top 50 video count down for 2012.

Yambirika Listen was the fourth album to follow in 2013 the same year he formed his band
The African Pride a six member outfit.
still with the same producer Mono also working with, Calton Mparutsa, Josh Meck, Tendai Ten Keys, and also did a collaboration with Alexio on a song entitled Mukana together with other songs like Yambirika Listen, Nyakubereka, Tarirai and Vechidiki Manyanya a must have album.

Came back again this time with a bang with a new album entitled Toyambukira in 2016 with tracks such as Mwenje weRudo with also a video receiving huge air play on local television also, Vechidiki Manyanya, Rugare ,Idai Vachipo and Save life which promotes saving life by donating blood through working with National Blood Transfusion Zimbabwe

Currently working on a new 6th album titled Rwendo My Journey which is set to be released sometime this year 2018 with also set to release a few single tracks this may mainly Try Again an Afro Pop up tempo song Kabodzi featuring Nendoro and Josepha a gospel track
