Channel Swazi

Channel Swazi is a privately owned local television station which isn’t as popular as Swazi TV. In 2010, the TV station was closed down when its equipment was attached following the arrest of its owner Qhawe Mamba. He was arrested and charged with fraud related to the operations of Channel Swazi Club. Channel Swazi was a premiere television station competing with Swazi TV. It gained a lot of popularity since its launch in 2001 for its live music programmes. It is largely credited for the recognition of local gospel music.
