DJ Dukesta

Born as Sandile Khanyeza, DJ Dukesta's musical journey commenced in 2003, marked by his involvement in school events during his high school days. Hailing from Lady Smith, Kwa Zulu Natal, Dukesta's passion for house music was ignited at a young age by his uncle and neighborhood friend. Determined to pursue a career in music, Dukesta decided to specialize in house music, inspired by industry luminaries such as DJ Tira, DJ Sox, Andy X, DJ Fresh, and DJ Mbuso.

Professional Journey: In 2007, at the age of 19, DJ Dukesta began his professional career under the tutelage of DJ Mlamza (Panache Boys). Since then, he has graced stages alongside renowned names in the genre including Abicah Soul, Julian Gomez, Black Whole, Euphonik, DJ Shimza, Da Capo, and more. His career has seen him travel extensively across South Africa, showcasing his talent and passion for music.

Musical Style: DJ Dukesta's versatility knows no bounds as he effortlessly navigates through various genres including deep house, commercial house, electro, old school kwaito, amapiano, and 3step. As the founder and host of "We Own Monday Nites" at News Café in Braamfontein, Dukesta has carved a niche for himself as a DJ who can cater to any crowd on any dancefloor.
