Ebenezer Akachukwu
Bio
Ebenezer Ugo Akachukwu is a computer scientist, and music executive from Nigeria.
Ebenezer was a member of the founding team of Freeme Digital (https://freememusic.com/), Nigeria's first digital distribution company. At Freeme Digital he honed his career in music business administration and development, running as head of distribution, head of A&R and label services. Around this time, he also gained more experience working as A&R at Sony Music West Africa, contributing to the deals that brought Davido and Wizkid to the major. Ebenezer or Ugo (as he's fondly known) has since moved on to not only found his own label services venture Label Dots Music (https://instagram.com/labeldotsmusic), which represents Afrobeats acts like Smada, D'Banj, Samklef, Tony Tetuilla, LAX, Emo Grae, Olakira, and more, but has also co-founded, invested in, and consulted for several label & artist services companies across Africa. He is currently also overseeing Music & Label services at DB Records/CREAM, (independent label of Afrobeat legend, D'banj). A computer scientist by profession, Ebenezer is also curating a niche in Nigeria's tech domain, as a founder and public voice. A blockchain and smart contract developer, he is a believer in decentralization and the inevitability of the decentralized economy, actively building products that bring value to the African continent, such as SaveFi Tech (https://instagram.com/trysavefi), a smart contract powered fintech service. A gamer and writer, he spends his free time learning new stuff, watching Manchester United or having a good night out with friends!
