Hailing from the suburbs of Pretoria, Kennie grew up on legends like Fokofpolisiekar, Jack Parow, and Die Heuwels Fantasties. It's clear where his inspiration comes from, with bands like Nirvana, Blink-182, Sum 41, and Lil Peep regularly on repeat. Kennie is the first South African music artist to combine Grunge, hip-hop, and punk to establish his own unique Afrikaans Grunge-trap genre.
