GUNCHESA MUSIC PROFILE.

Motho 'Carlos' Bomela known as Gunchesa was born 13 October 1988 In Aliwal North.
Gunchesa is a kwaito Artist who grew up in Aliwal North Eastern Cape, South Africa.

His music makes him stand out from most kwaito artists in the game today. In 2013 GUNCHESA was crowned EASTERN CAPE’s KING OF KWAITO.

He brings a genuine roughness in his music, by use of “tsotsi taal”. He has great story-telling abilities as an artist (talking about real life, everyday issues, from love and relationships to poverty.

He also featured to [STROKE 5 THE MOVIE] the movie that was short in ALIWAL NORHT 2017 In 2003 Gunchesa released his first single tiltled “SENZENI”.

In 2015 GUNCHESA was nominated for “BEST KWAITO” in EASTERN CAPE MUSIC AWARDS, held in Wilsonia Multi Purpose Center.

In 2016 GUNCHESA was also recognized and nominated for an award at the KUMKANI FM MUSIC AWARDS which are held at GUILD THEATRE in East London.

Gunchesa is the first Aliwal North Artist who was Playlisted on channel O, MTV Base and KZN TV…. Gunchesa music was playlisted in most big Radio station in South Africa like Umhlobo wenene, Lesedi fm and etc…..

In 2021 Gunchesa was releasing lastest album which is Ashes To Ashes with 17 hot songs the album is available in most digitaly stores like (ITUNES).
Gunchesa in 2020 was nominated in Music Africa top 50 workshop producers around southern Africa.

FEATURES:

In early 2003 he was featured in “Eye to Gees Presents: 16 Dontsa Mehlo sound track, An 18 track album that featured himself, Criminal, Mazola, Shwellas and Stroof .

COLLABORATIONS

1 July 2011 he collaborated with fellow Kwaito Artists: Oral, D-rex, Dothello & Nation for what has been dubbed one of the greatest singles to come from Aliwal North Joe Gqabi Region .

2013 October GUNCHESA dropped his single titled “Bayakleima" which featured production from local producers King Ma-ada, Kweezy Kwesta and South African Kwaito artist.

On this project GUNCHESA also featured guest appearances by Moja Lova, Rolex Kwaito and Drencko a fomer Ghetto Ruff Artist Gunchesa was shotlisted from 365 artists to top 22 artists in Buyelekhaya Music Festival Gunchesa
