Gwladys Watrin

With over 15 years+ of experience in investment, management, and business development across Africa and Europe, Gwladys currently serves as the Managing Director of Trace Academia, Trace’s global e-learning and empowerment platform, operating across four continents. She also holds the position of Vice President of Corporate Development at Trace, where she leads strategic initiatives and partnerships that drive the company’s growth in the creative and digital sectors. Her focus is on expanding Trace's global presence and fostering key relationships to strengthen its impact in the media and entertainment industries.

Before joining Trace, Gwladys was a founding member of Rwanda Finance Ltd, where she played a pivotal role in establishing and promoting the Kigali International Financial Center (KIFC) as a major Pan-African business and financial hub. Prior to her role at KIFC, she spent over 11 years in investment banking in France, holding various positions.
In addition to her strategic vision and leadership, her expertise spans financial inclusion, digital transformation, innovation in education, risk management, sustainable growth in creative industries, and fostering strong relationships with investment funds and international organizations to drive growth and development.
