Haylea Heyns is a soprano and recording artist from South Africa who is signed to David Gresham Records.
Her debut EP 'My Heart Belongs in Africa' is available on all digital music platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Music and Deezer. Heyns studied a BA: Music & Drama Performance, graduating Cum Laude, and specialises in Light Classical Music and Adult Contemporary. Noteworthy performances include singing the British National Anthem “God Save The Queen” at the England vs South Africa International Rugby Test Match at Emirates Airline Park (Ellis Park) in June 2018. A principal role in the London Westend production of “The Sound Of Music” presented by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Really Useful Group, David Ian Productions and Pieter Toerien Productions where she played Baroness Elsa Schraeder on the international tour to the Philippines, Singapore, China, Macau, Colombo and South Africa. (September 2017 – May 2018.) Other recent performances include the principal role of “Cinderella” in Pieter Toerien’s “Into The Woods” (2019), and the title role in KickstArts’s family pantomime “Sleeping Beauty” where she played Princess Rose (2017).
