LUMA

LUMA is a South African psychedelic pop band. The founding member Jenny Dison of Bye Beneco and Sol Gems formed the project in 2016. The current members include Mpumi Mcata and Tshepang Ramoba of Blk Jks fame. The band thrives on collaboration, working with local musicians/producers, constantly experimenting with new musical ideas that allows their sound to evolve. Their different musical backgrounds create an epic soundscape on stage and in the studio. With their use of unique instruments along with electronic elements, LUMA finds a sonic groove like trance that captures all the individual’s musical influences.
The group has performed at Oppikoppi festival, MieliePop festival, Endless Daze (to name a few) with aspirations of completing an album at the end of the year.
