Nkossi Konda

Nkossi KONDA a.k.a Alain Nkossi KONDA is a Recording Artist/ Multiple Award Winning Songwriter/ Music Producer & UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who was born in Kinshasa (DR of Congo), raised in New York for 30 Years and presently resides in Southern Germany (2 hours from Munich).
He is the Founder of AFRIKOOL Entertainment with his partner Jim SAVITT and their soon to be launched Kinshasa based Production Label AfricArt AGENCY in partnership with the MD of ATON CONGO Willy MANZAMBI & Journalist/ Writer Mr. Herman BANGI BAYO.

NKOSSI which stands for "Lion" in the African language of Kikongo has accepted the invitation by Association NSD President and founder of the Festival du Film Pan Africain in Cannes to serve as Artistic Director for the next 3 Years, at the 16th Edition which will take place from Apri 17th to April 21st 2019. Nkossi who was the first Artist signed by "World music" and Calypso Legend Harry BELAFONTE for his then label Niger Records/ Palm Pictures (in partnership with Island Records Founder Chris BACKWELL) will help launch the new Congolese "World music" label AfricArt AGENCY by releasing his latest Album BANDA LELO = "From this day forth" to announce his arrival on the scene where he plans to support and collaborate in a "Win, win" manner with the next Generation of Young deserving local Talents & those of the Congolese diaspora.

The Main Goal of AfricArt AGENCY is to ensure the revalorization of the Music, Arts & Culture from what many consider to be the craddle of civilization by securing the rights to unpublished songs from Congolese Legends in order to create a Mutiple Compilation series to be called MIGHTY CONGO RIVER VOL1 - Music from our past, our present & our future... Which will be Promoted and released and distributed Physically & Digital (G.A.S. Territories) by the German Label GALILEO Music Commnunication GmbH for the Territories of Germany & Austria, Kdigital MEDIA (Territories of Asia) and through AFRIKOOL/ Orchard for Digital Distribution (for the rest of the World).
