Q
Bio
Nii Dodoo Otoo, nicknamed "Q" (or "Q_tbg" on streaming services), is a rapper that isn't afraid to step out of the typical rap genres. His sultry lullaby-ish singing can sometimes be found on alternative beats when he's not rapping.
He was introduced to making music by his uncles, some of who played guitar, DJed and/or were talent managers. He started playing the flute and piano in class 4 at about 10 years old and went on to learn about guitars and composing at 14 years from the national symphony orchestra for a few months. He began to expand his creative channels to include paint, sketching and digital media.
He started making beats 3 years later in fruity loops 3 and got his first studio deal at a small label where he met current labelmate FRD.
He co-founded the BACON Gang (now The Bacon Group) with a few creative/party people he met while in university while studying mathematics and used that platform to deliver his and his crew members' creative endeavors and to push social agendas for positive change. While in University, he quickly became the go-to guy for creative ideas and visuals for events, working with the likes of Mr Eazi, the brandmeister, etc..
He left the record label after about 5 years and didn't make music till 2017 when he came out of rehab (where he managed to finish a degree course in Business Administration) and reintroduced himself with a new single titled Pain, produced by himself and Villain Sounds' NOVA accompanied by a video put together by Midnight Run Productions director, Helel Smith and Q himself.
He signed a deal with old label mate FRD and became the 2nd creative listed on the ANGRY PANDA MUSIC Group roster in 2020 and released 2 singles - Trips To Japan on 15th of August 2020 and Joog Twice on the 17th of March 2021. He has other music that he released on his own for his niche and ever growing fan base.
He currently works as the country manager for Kulaperry's Fear No Man clothing while he tends his Catfish farm and records music.
