Safari Rockerz, an Afro Fusion band hailing from Bagamoyo, was born out of the collective passion of a group of young musicians. This ensemble, comprised of William, Gervas, Amani, Timothy, and Chuchu, emerged from their shared experiences studying music and performing and visual arts at the Bagamoyo Arts College, TASUBA, although they attended during different semesters.

United by a strong connection, the quintet joined forces in 2022 for a series of performances at various venues and festivals in Tanzania. Their music, anchored in a powerful East African style Groove, not only reflects the rich Tanzanian traditional drumming but also incorporates elements of Afro fusion, rock, and pop genres.

Safari Rockerz goes beyond the boundaries of conventional music by embracing a mission as educators of Traditional Music, Ngoma, and Dance. Firmly rooted in the belief that music possesses the transformative power to soothe and nurture troubled minds, the band members take on the roles of teachers, spreading the cultural richness of their art form. Through their performances, Safari Rockerz aims to convey messages of strength and hope, showcasing the talents of a new generation while leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape.
