Tivo Shikapwashya
Bio
Born in Lusaka, Zambia, on November 18, 1974, Tivo Shikapwashya has been involved in the media industry on several different levels across Africa, Europe, and the United States. A graduate of Full Sail University and Everest University, Tivo holds a bachelor's degree in Film and Television Sciences.
Over the years, Tivo has gained extensive radio experience as a presenter, talk show host, producer, and station manager at Choice FM in Zambia and Trans Africa Radio in South Africa. He was most recently the Creative Director at Power FM, one of Zambia’s leading urban radio stations.
Tivo has also worked as a TV presenter, producer, and director for Afrotainment Television in Orlando, Florida, where he gained valuable experience in television production. In 2012, Tivo moved back to Zambia from the U.S. and established Sky Management Group, a media company offering production services. He later founded Tivo Shikapwashya Films, a production company specializing in music videos and entertainment documentaries.
Tivo then took on the role of Country Manager for Trace Urban Television in Zambia, where he played a key role in various projects, including Airtel Trace Music Stars, from which the Pan-African winner of the second season hailed from his territory and went on to collaborate with American R&B and pop sensation Keri Hilson.
Tivo also served as the General Manager for Zambia at the pan-African television network KWESE and continues to collaborate closely with creative talents across Africa and abroad. Additionally, he served as President of the Zambia Association of Music, where he contributed to significant progress in the Zambian music industry.
Passionate about talent development, Tivo currently manages singers, actors, and public speakers under the Sky Management Group umbrella.
