Tomento

Tomento is a vocalist, guitarist, amazing performer and music producer from Pietermaritzburg in KZN, South Africa whos real name is Menzi Lembethe. He pulled the crowds eye when he led the Afro-Pop hit group of 3 that was based in Durban called "Steam" that took the industry by storm in 2004/5. He went on to persue his dream as a solo artist adding his guitar magic. He released a solo album online tittled "Imbewu " a mix of afro, jazz, reggae & spoken word and has toured around South Africa exciting the his fans in poetry and musical events with his band called Mafrika based in Winston Churchill Theater in Pietermaritzburg. In 2011 he visited Vietnam and did thrilling perfomances that gained him more exposure abroad.
TOMENTO have won 1st position on 2 consecutive events by Arts and Culture in UMgungundlovu and also a finalist in Bhodloza Nzimande Foundation and Arts & Cultures Owethu talent Scout.
He is now based in Appelsbosch, grooming the youth and music lovers in live music performing. He recently released a single " Isisombululo " online.
