Tomicks
Bio
Tomicks, is a music producer drummer, songwriter and advocate for love; using his music to amplify the relationship between Africans heritage and the World music. Best known for layering African rhythms and sound into familiar genres, he is building a niche for himself in the music scene.
He's been in the live band scene tagged *Owambe* in Nigeria for years and this has taken him far and wide off the shores of Africa into Asia and Europe. It was in his travels he learnt about the heritage of black music that has been lost for ages due to lack of documentation in Africa during the slavery era. Africa had lost a lot of it's indigenous genres to the world.
Now he hopes to remind Africa of this gifts that were lost due to slavery and hopes it brings back our heritage, because as Africans this is what defines our community; Our Heritage.
And he aims to encourage African creatives to bring out the sound within them, as most African creatives lack the confidence to come out with their sound believing it's not worth the music scene.
For every genre he performs, he wants to remind every African of our root in music "for whatever we lost for lack of documentation, we refuse to lose our Heritage".
Our sound is one of our identity.
Identified as a 'limitless creative', Tomicks a young talent ready to go far and wide for this cause.
