Bio
Born 2 June 1992, Fresh Boy (real name Tonny Antwan Katongo) is a musician from Lusaka, Zambia. He is one of Zambia’s most influential and talented music producer. His career as a musician began when he recorded his debut song 'Wat Is It' at the age of 12. It was recorded with Macky II, one of Zambia's celebrated music icons. The song was followed by the recording of several tracks that he sampled at his church in Luanshya.
At 21, he had his own music label called Fresh Boy Muziq. With hit songs like 'Amenso Pamo' by Chef 187, ‘Tonbolilo’ by Pjay and Sunga Man, ‘Foolish Me’, ‘The Refix’ by Chef 187 and Pjay, ‘Higher’ by Chef 187 ft S-roxxy, ‘Kokolikoko’ by Pjay and Jonny Cee, ‘Tent’ by XYZ and ‘You Don’t Understand’ by Marky, he is making hit waves in music production.
In 2011, he went back in the studio and recorded a song titled 'Pickina'. He produced the song. Since then, he kept on nurturing his singing skills with influence from Roberto, P Square, Chris Brown and many others. In 2012, he saw himself working on RnB and Afro-pop music. To achieve this, he worked with some of the finest artistes in the country such as Slapdee, Macky II, Dandy Krazy, XYZ, P'jay and many others. His collaboration with XYZ on ‘Tente, I wonder, Ku Hood’ drew more attention and motivation to his distinct singing and music production.
He earned himself a nomination for the Zambia Music Awards in the category of Best music producer.
Breezy is apparently CEO of Freshboymuziq, he is also signed to Xampo Yapa Zambia (XYZ) as Record Producer and Singer.
