Wonderbwoy

Daniel Akachukwu Adekunle Bankole (born 24 February), better known as Wonderbwoy, is a Nigerian Singer and record producer. His love for music started very early at the early age of 10; watching his mother sing as a member of a choir in a church in ore Ondo State, Nigeria. He started following his Eldest brother to his own church where he (the Eldest brother) plays the drum set for the church.  Wonderbwoy went to Faith College Ore, in Ondo state, Nigeria. Years later, he dropped his first musical project, a Mixtape titled ‘’Vybz Can Tell…vol1’’ and it organically hits 4.7k views on Audiomack. In 2021, he dropped another body of work which helped his fans see him from the right perspective. It’s called ‘’The CruiseTape’’ this helped those who listens to Wonderbwoy’s songs understand his musical personality and it only became better and better.

Daniel is the 4th child in a family of 5. Most time, he also come across to his fans as a ‘’ Michael Jackson" impersonator (a dance art) most of his fans loves seeing this side of him as they enjoy it whenever it’s in display. This made him popular all over Ore Odigbo L.G.A. from 2012 to October 7, 2014 when he eventually moved to lagos to follow his dreams. He formed a dance crew of four guys called ( Da’Twist) and later took it to seven guys and four girls. The crew made impressive results all over Odigbo L.G.A in Ore ondo state until he relocated to lagos to pursue his career.

Early life
Daniel was born in Ore, Ondo State. His parents, Mr. Sunday Bankole is from Ekan-Meje, Oke Ero L.G.A , Kwara state, and Mrs. Mercy C. Bankole is from Atah in Imo State. He attended Faith College, Ore where his mother helped him in setting up a home studio so as to stop him from spending over time in the studio so that he would be available to help her out with some of the house chores. Wonderbwoy has three brothers, Segun C. Bankole, who is also in the Nigerian comedy and music scene, Wisdom E. Bankole and Kendrick A.E. Bankole A.K.A Kendrick Banks, a rapper and afrobeat artist. During Wonderbwoy's adolescence, he would listen to jazz music, Reggae music, Blues, R&B, Highlife and Afrobeats from the likes of Westlife, Michael Learns To Rock, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, James blunt, Elton John, Michael Bolton, Usher, Iyaz, Sean Kingston, Chris brown… down to the likes of Fela, Ebenezer Obey, Chief Osita Osadebe… and other Afrobeat veterans like 2face Idibia, Psquare, 9ice, Wizkid, Olamide, Davido, Flavour, Tekno… this explains why Wonderbwoy is extremely versatile with his art. This is as a result of being raised in the Ibo and Yoruba way of life.
Wonderbwoy was also featured in a dance Movie in 2012 titled ( Get in the groove) as one of the main character.
