Fredy N

Fredy N is a senegalese singer, songwriter, composer and guitarist. He was born in Dakar, Senegal.

He started his musical career as a hip-hop artist. He founded his music group and this enabled him to experience performing for a live audience at a tender age. While in his teens, he explored his love of break dance which he performed regularly.

At the age of 16, he joined a choir and was exposed to a whole new world of music. It was here that he fell in love with gospel and soul music. The following year, his uncle taught him how to conduct live music and compose music. He also gave him a gift in form of a classical guitar.

He draws his inspiration from a number of artists such as Eric Clapton, Ben Harper, Tracy Chapman, James Blunt to name but a few.

In Paris, he recorded his first EP titled 'Odyssey' with various musicians. His music is described as a mixture of pop, folk and soul with a little Afro touch that makes him unique.
