LORYZINE /// The sound between tradition and modernity
Since 2008, the band LORYZINE has been performing a modern, dynamic, and traditional MALOYA on stage. It really represents the numerous colors and origins of the local population in the Réunion Island, located in the middle of the Indian Ocean.The show performed by LORYZINE is based on traditional music and urban rhythm. It offers an amazing travel for the audience. The energetic choreographies and stagecraft involve the active participation of the audience. The band merges with the public from the beginning to the end of the show.
History
The band LORYZINE was created by several young friends that met during the "kabaré" more than 10 years ago. They wanted to devote themselves to their passion: The MALOYA.
After a few performances, the members decided to have a break to spend more time studying music and their instruments. In 2008, after their studies, they had acquired more music background and developed enough skills to reform the band.
*Maloya : traditional music from the Réunion Island, originally played by the slaves brought from East Africa and Madagascar.
* Kabaré : traditional gathering with music and dance.

Les membres du groupe LORYZINE se sont rencontrés lors des Services Kabaré il y a de cela une dizaine d’années. C’est donc naturellement que ces amis d’enfance, habitants du même quartier, se sont réunis pour s’adonner à leur passion : Le MALOYA
Entre tradition et modernité, le groupe LORYZINE pose depuis 2008 sur les scènes un MALOYA moderne et dynamique tout en respectant leur tradition, un nouveau style aux couleurs des milles visages de leur île intense qui baigne dans l’Océan Indien.Avec une formation musicale au conservatoire régional de musique, ces jeunes décident de monter leur structure en s’appuyant sur le MALOYA traditionnel fusionné à leurs modes urbains. Le spectacle de LORYZINE est époustouflant. Ils offrent au public un voyage métissé.
L’énergie émanant des chorégraphies et du jeu scénique que proposent le groupe, suscite la participation active du public et leurs mises en harmonie.
