Omar El Ouaer

is the most important Tunisian jazz pianist. A graduate from the Tunis Institut Supérieur de Musique, he has performed with the New York Vanguard Jazz Orchestra featuring Grammy award winner Douglas Purviance, as well as Jazz luminaries such as Todd Bashore, Chris Byars, Tim Green and many more. As a prominent figure of the Tunisian Jazz scene he has performed in all the major festivals such as Hammamet International Festival, Carthage International festival. He has recorded two albums as a leader and composer that have attracted international attention, including support and distribution in the US from Grammy Award winning producer Thomas Bellino. Omar el Ouaer is also a Jazz piano lecturer at the Institut Supérieur de Musique.
