Call for registrations: Music entrepreneurship webinar in SA
Tsiba Business School's Art for Healing and Affirmation (AHA) initiative in South Africa invites all interested participants to register for its Zoom panel discussion on music entrepreneurship, which takes place on 17 July.
AHA aims to bring Tsiba closer to the arts and creative communities, and seeks to promote arts as a vehicle for emotional well-being, holistic development and entrepreneurship.
The panel, comprising musicians and business people, will look at music entrepreneurship as a meeting place for art and business, including the following aspects:
- How musicians and artists can broaden their horizons and opportunities by growing their understanding of business.
- How entrepreneurship endeavours in both music and the arts offer wonderful opportunities to survive, thrive and add economic value through artistic talent.
Led by Tsiba CEO Dr Riedwaan Kimmie, the panel will feature the director of the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Neil Gonsalves, former Johnny Clegg band member and business developer Barry van Zyl, author and entrepreneur Chantell Ilbury and business strategist Myles Hopkins.
Additionally, Tsiba has partnered with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra to support its youth initiatives. In tribute to Mandela Month, the webinar aims to raise funds for the orchestra’s many youth projects and its ongoing goal to achieve social cohesion.

The music entrepreneurship webinar will start at 1pm CAT.
