Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards 2020: All the nominees

The ceremony, which was scheduled to take place at the Sun City Superbowl near Rustenburg on 1 August, was postponed due to the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in South Africa.

“Our theme for 2020 is to celebrate women, hence why we had planned to host the awards in August,” MKHMAs founder and CEO Perfecta Malinga said. “We will continue celebrating women, even if the event is not happening in the month of August.”

MKHMAs communications officer Mondli Mlauza said: “What makes the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards unique is the fact that we give the power back to musicians and their fans. Unlike other music awards, we give credit where it’s due.”
