Melane

Melane is an Afro-Rumba artist based in Germany.

After her successful debut album “Four” (ACT) with the jazz trio “Three Fall”, Melane has now decided to continue telling her own musical story and to unlock a new world of sounds. Her lyrics and her music reflect her connection to different parts of her cultural background, as well as her love for different styles and rhythms - the sounds of her cultural roots and home. The band consists of international musicians including Carlos Palmen (bass) and Sebastian Winne (drums), Colin Laroche de Féline (guitar) and Gert Kapo (keyboard).

As a songwriter and interpreter, Melane was shaped by different cultures and music ranging from Afro, soul, funk, rap and jazz, among others.

Her new single "UBUNTU is a statement in contrast to the traditional "I think, therefore I am“; reviving the African philosophy while connecting current issues such as racism and discrimination, and the strength and the role of women.
