Call for submissions: MTN Liberia Music Awards 2022
The organisers of the annual MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMAs) are inviting submissions ahead of the 2022 edition later this year.
Kpanto was the bigest winner at last year’s MLMAs.
The MLMAs started in 2009 to celebrate outstanding artists in the West African country and promote them globally.
Last year, Kpanto dominated the awards after taking home the Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Hipco/Trapco Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year awards.
Nominations are open for songs, DJs, artists or groups, videos and videographers. To be eligible for nomination, Liberian artists or their representatives must register and submit their works here.
The deadline for registration is 31 July.
Nominations can be filed in the following categories:
- Artist of the Year
- New Artist of the Year
- Male Artist of the Year
- Female Artist of the Year
- Hipco/Trapco Artist of the Year
- Traditional Artist of the Year
- Gospel Artist of the Year
- Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year
- Afropop Artist of the Year
- Hip Hop Artist of the Year
- International Artist of the Year
- Song of the Year
- Afropop Song of the Year
- Hipco/Trapco Song of the Year
- DJ of the Year
- Producer of the Year
- Video of the Year
- Collaboration of the Year
