Call for nominations: 2023 EMY Africa Awards in Ghana
Nominations are currently ongoing for the 2023 Exclusive Men of the Year Africa (EMY) Awards set to take place in Ghana later in the year.
Now in its seventh year, the Father’s Day-related scheme was conceived to spotlight and celebrate outstanding achievements by men and fathers in Ghana and the diaspora. The EMY Africa awards are divided into honorary and competitive categories across the creative arts, business, media, technology, sports and health.
The awards were also recently expanded to include female achievers through the Woman of the Year and Young Achiever (Female) categories.
Rapper Kofi Kinaata took home the trophy for Music Man of the Year at the 2022 edition of the awards. Other past winners include Ebo Taylor, Stonebwoy, the late ethnomusicologist Prof Joseph HK Nketia and gospel artist Joe Mettle.
The deadline for submission is 12 May.
Interested individuals can nominate their favourite personalities here.
“Since 2016, EMY Africa has celebrated the best in men’s achievements across the local industry, community, culture and public service,” EMY Africa said. “Dozens of men from all ages and walks of life have been honoured for their abilities, initiatives and contributions to society.”
