Botswana: YAMAs nominees unveiled

Leading the pack with six nominations is pop musician Yaw Bannerman who was nominated in the Best New Comer, Best Hip Hop/Motswako, Social Media Award, Song of the Year, Best Collabo and Best Male Single categories. Following Bannerman with more than one nomination are ATI, Bangu, Vee and Tafnaz.

Yarona FM station manager Kelly Ramputswa said the awards would also honour other creatives in Botswana.

“The fourth annual YAMAs will be another platform where we honour our artists in the music industry,” Ramputswa was quoted as saying. “The YAMAs will showcase the talent in Botswana, not only for musicians but for designers too. People will be wearing the best of the best from designers in Botswana.”

“As Yarona FM we are looking forward to this fourth instalment. The launch will be an exciting feature showcasing our artists.”
