Bio

Established in 1990, the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is a state owned public broadcaster of Namibia. It replaced South West African Broadcasting Corporation. It operates a 24-hour radio station (NBC National Radio) that broadcasts in English.
The media organisation has nine other language media services which broadcast in Afrikaans, Damara and Nama, German, Oshiwambo (Ovambo and Kwanyama), Otjiherero, Rukavango, Setswana and Silozi languages. The majority of NBC’s radio stations are transmitted from radio studios in Pettenkoffer Street, Windhoek. The radio stations feature different programs such as playing local music, interviews with musicians on CD launches and many other different projects done by artists in Namibia.
